The Chukka Foundation was proud to be a sponsor and actively involved with the Jamaica Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (J.S.P.C.A.) with their recent Spay and Neuter Clinic held in Duncans, Trelawny.
J.S.P.C.A. coordinated a team of volunteers – veterinarians from Canada, U.S.A. and Jamaica. Everyone worked hard for the three day clinic offering their services free of charge to community cats and dogs of low income families, pensioners and to the street animals.
Spaying and Neutering cats and dogs helps control the pet homelessness crisis. There are medical benefits including reducing infections, tumors and cancerous growths. Spaying and Neutering pets is highly effective versus the cost of having and caring for a litter.
The Chukka Foundation promotes responsible and compassionate care towards animals.
