JOB TITLE              –         Marketing Coordinator  

DEPARTMENT        –         Marketing

 

Core Function:

The Marketing Coordinator is responsible to execute existing marketing initiatives, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with the Chukka brand under the direction of the Group Creative Lead.  These initiatives will cover a wide range of marketing functions including, but not limited to, managing all social media platforms, communications, advertising, branding, graphic design and market research.  The Marketing Coordinator must be an organized multitasker with the ability to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.

 

 

Education and Experience: (Minimum Requirements)

The essential qualifications required for this job are as described below:

  • At least 2 years of college coursework in Marketing
  • Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing and social media
  • Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite

 

Specialised Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

          1) English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

          2) Communications and Media — Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.

          3) Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.  This includes customer needs assessment,  meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

          4) Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.  This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.

Externally                    –           Customers, Partners, Tourist Boards and Suppliers

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Support the Group Creative Lead in evaluating and establishing the marketing plan and strategy
  • Prepare marketing plan to manage and grow all social media channels
  • Study design briefs and determine requirements
  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
  • Prepare rough drafts and presents ideas
  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs
  • Work with Creative Lead to produce final design
  • Amend designs after feedback
  • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
  • Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
  • Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
  • Develop social media marketing campaigns
  • Interact with customers via the company’s social media accounts
  • Analyzing the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying weaknesses and making recommendations for improvement
  • Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the set marketing initiatives
  • Manages relationships with influencers and coordinates fam trips
  • Provides support to the Group Creative Lead to complete marketing initiatives for the Group
  • Provides support to the Group Creative Lead for all new projects that are acquired for the Group

  • Take the necessary action to ensure that the department is managed efficiently and effectively.

  • Brand is maintained in all promotional material
  • Quality images, videos and content is created
